As a result of the continuing violence, Rohingya people boarded ships in hope of fleeing the ongoing oppression. Instead, vulnerable children and women suffered further physical and sexual abuse at the hands of human traffickers. Others remain stranded out at sea or in camps exposed to horrific acts of persecution and abuse, all in urgent need of emergency food, shelter and medical aid. Muslimat Al Nisaa has established a working relationship offering a long-term solution to stranded refugees to help support the relocation and migration of a refugee and give them a new home, where they will no longer live in fear of violence and persecution.
